The pandemic did a number on ACTION NETWORK, which compounded the problems all companies had to tackle. The – admittedly fair – gathering restrictions prevented the organisation of our traditional January meeting, the 2021 Kick-Off Meeting: this historic event marks the end of the first two decades since the Network was established.
However, this postponement is only temporary: as soon as intensive vaccination plans make it possible, hopefully between June and September, the event will be held in a surprise location.
President A. Raffaele Cielo made our 2020 financial data available: these figures are truly significant and show a clear countertrend in comparison with the overall scenario of the Italian and Suisse economies:
- 14 companies focused on specific business areas and/or geographies as single contractors for clients
- 177 human resources (35 Business Consultants and Trainers, 117 Information Consultants, and 25 Managers and Staff members)
- 37% of our highly experienced Consultants are partners of the company where they work (with a strong team spirit and a low turnover of the most relevant staff members, which totally benefits our clients)
- EUR 19.8 million in revenues (CHF 20.8 million)
- More than 350 active clients and more than 250 Microsoft DYNAMICS experiences
- Revenue increase against 2019: +14%
- Revenue increase over the last three years: +48% (annual average = 16%).
As for our Strategic Business Areas, the following results were achieved:
- EXTENDED ERP has essentially confirmed the same revenues as 2019 (EUR 12.2 million)
- TECHNOLOGY turned over EUR 5.6 million, almost double of 2019
- BUSINESS CONSULTING & EDUCATION turned over EUR 2.0 million, with a 10% drop against 2019
According to President Cielo, the remarkable growth of the Technology Strategic Business Area was largely due to the introduction of systematic smart working in client companies.
